Returning Students Greeted with Snowstorm and Cell Phone Ban

Posted at: 1:21 AM ET
The college still has a sense of humour, and Mother Nature may prove that she does, too.

Students returning from winter break should expect a snowstorm Sunday evening into Monday and a new ban on texting while driving in New Hampshire.

The snowstorm could drop as much as seven inches of snow in southern New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts, according to the National Weather Service. Some locations could receive nine inches of snow, and southern New England as well as New York state will see rain.

Texting while driving became illegal with the start of the new year while gay marriage became legal. Physical plant has posted the two shortcuts between Alumni Hall and the Coffee Shop as “closed for the winter.”

As a reminder that our school still has a sense of humour, the fall semester’s Dean’s List of Scholars was published on the college website: as the “Dean's List of Scholars for Fall 2090.”

With those exceptions, not much has changed. Welcome back.
